As you can see in my first photo, I mounted it on my weather station with no issues. The second photo shows the sensor reporting back to my Ambient Weather console. The shield does exactly what it’s supposed to do by helping reduce direct solar heating of the sensor, making the temperature readings more reliable. If you already have an Ambient Weather station, I’d definitely recommend adding one. P.S. If you’re wondering about the cloud in my first photo… I can neither confirm nor deny that it was part of a classified weather modification test. 🤫😂 Review: It is accurate and it worked in humid greenhouse. - I used this for my greenhouse, as I wanted to know the temps in there without actually being in there. If it got too cold, I'd turn on a bulb. I liked that I could just look on my phone and see what the temp was on cold nights. I have only used it one season in the greenhouse but then stuck it in the garage and knew how warm it was in there too. Sometimes I would leave the garage door open until it cooled off too. It was nice to know the temps without walking outside to look at a guage.
