The cost for a bag of (10) of these machined chrome plated adapters was reasonable, the threads are cut cleanly, the screwdriver slot is deep and well-machined. Easy to use. Review: A Good Adapter - Bought these to use with a 3 Legged Thing (3LT) switch clamp. The clamp is designed to be mounted to a tripod ball head via a 3/8-16 mounting hole. However, I also wanted to use this with an old Velbon tripod that has a standard 1/4-20 mounting screw. These adapters thread into the hole on the 3LT from the top and allow that to happen. The adapter screwed in smoothly to the 3LT and to the Velbon tripod perfectly. These items are chrome-plated steel, NOT stainless steel, so probably not the best selection for continued outdoor use. But they are well-made, certainly work for now and the price was right.
Review: Why not just make it the right size? - I donno why I needed to buy an adapter so im not going to downvote them just for jouging people but what I dont understand is why they cant just make things in the same size that match up. But the product works nicely I like how it fits flush and doesnt show sticking out at all giving a factory look still as seen in attached picture.

Bought these to use with a 3 Legged Thing (3LT) switch clamp. The clamp is designed to be mounted to a tripod ball head via a 3/8-16 mounting hole.
