The tree is pre-lit, but the loose light strings causes the branches to become tangled in the lights. This design flaw makes it very difficult to assemble. The branches are also not "realistic" as marketed, as compared to other "realistic" trees. It is overall a very tacky look and difficult product to use. We have purchased other National Tree products in the past that have been quite excellent.To make the entire experience worse, the seller is charging a massive restocking fee and making us responsible to pay for return shipping on a faulty product. But after setting it up I love the look of this tree. I wanted a tree that looked more authentic, and had more space to decorate the branches—rather than stick ornaments on the outside of a bushy tree.
