We love having our Espressos after our evening meal but our existing Bialettis ( we have 3 !) are the traditional type and don't work on an induction hob. So we bought this one. My tips are: Don't worry about the "open top", it is meant to be like that; DO use the small measuring pot for the water - if you put too much in the flavour is not as good, and it can overflow; I have found the on the induction plate 400 W is about right. (You can give a little time at 500W and once it is bubbling through you can reduce from 400W to 300W). Watch it, and be careful. Was a bit worried because somehow the bottom pot where you store water won't lock with the top completely. But then, it's ok. Just remember to switch off the stove the moment you see coffee pouring in, before the sputtering sound ofcourse.
