STICKS!!! Dangerous for healing !
I got these from the hospital to put on my son's 2nd degree burns when first they dressed it and for when I would. They stated several times the wound needed to stay moist and sterile and the ointments I was given would help with that as well as were antibacterial and promoted skin regrowth. BUT, when seeing the bandages had soaked through just 24 hours later, I had to change them and the new skin growth was STUCK to this first layer of gauze, which was also covered by a 5x9 non-adhesive Curad pad bandage. He had to soak it off so as not to ruin the progress of the wound healing although one section from just regular movement in the area had come off because it was like meshed with this muslin-type gauze that was supposedly Non-stick because of petroleum..... The new skin was attaching to it in the same manner as it was over the injury. Very weird, and the pad seemed to have taken all the ointment places on the wound also, not keeping it there but Stealing it!! So. When we finally got that off by warm soak, just watering it wasn't enough, it had to Soak to come off without damaging the new tissue that wasn't completely attached to it. Then I replaced everything, including this gauze with the Same, but lined it with a THICK layer of petroleum then the medicine which was also a gel and cream was put on the wound, then this with the thick petroleum and then the non stick pad and tape. Less than 24 hours later, checked the wound and AGAIN the new skin was attaching to THIS ceroform muslin/gauze!!!! Ruining the purpose and again holding onto the medicine as well as the petroleum that it sucked dry. So. It had to be carefully removed Again and this time that is the only thing I left out of the rebandaging.DO NOT USE. I had already ordered more knowing this treatment would take weeks, but I will not use it, no matter the brand. This is Not good for any Serious wound.

Works GREAT
Went to ER for bad cut. Got stitches and they used this. I then used at home as it was perfect. It kept bandage from sticking. Love it so much i got extra for my dad who is in hims 80’s and has thin skin. He cant use afford for bandages to stick to wounds. LOVE THIS STUFF!

Smells bad
It is effective but it smells REAL BAD. And it is very difficult to wash out the smell. It took about 24 hours for the smell to go away from my hands after this product was applied. Also the smell got on my removable splint and even after I washed the splint in the laundry it was still very smelly from the product.
