We used them on our 3 month old to go watch fireworks and he didn't seem to be fazed at all. We tested them at home first with other loud noises and same thing, didn't seem to be bothered by the noise...and he doesn't like loud noises except the vacuum. The head band sits below their soft spot on the front of their head and the band did not slip at all.
