By itself over a thin top, it looks great and doesn't look too big but yet fits over a sweater or blazer without binding anywhere. This is a hard line to balance especially if you have broader shoulders and this trench coat does this very well.Fabric: Such nice quality fabric and lining. It has a very high quality fit and feel to it and feels like the trench coats I tried on that were easily double the price. Actually, I really like the fabric of this one better than many others I tried on.I ordered the navy blue. The color is definitely lighter than the stock photo but I'm super happy with it because I wanted a nice pop of color that was a more neutral and wasn't the tan color that everyone else has so I'm happy with the color it ended up being. I bought this specifically to layer for an upcoming trip where weather is unpredictable. It fit great, exceeded my expectations. Clearly won’t wear with pj shorts but for those trying to gauge fit and body type, I am 5’5 at 197lb and I ordered the XL. Feels nice on. Flattering and good length I think. Agree with other reviews that belt is wonky that you have to finesse it to keep fabric straight in the buckle and doesn’t stay tight with a lot of extra belt to tuck in, not a dealbreaker by any means. I tied the belt and that worked great. Haven’t worn in rain yet but seems like a legit rain coat. Agree that the pleated back will not sit right unless a specific size but I am okay with it.
