I had this happen twice. After the second time I checked the ware of the chain and it only had 690 miles on it. And it was WAY past worn at that point. A real chain should last at least 2,000 miles. The quick link this chain came with just read "11s". A real Shimano quick link looks very different. Also the font was different on this chain. Lesson learned. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. And honestly I will just buy from a shop from now on. Hopefully my whole drivetrain isn't ruined. **Q: I want to remove the chain for cleaning and reinstall. Is the quick link reusable for reinstallation?** A: Shimano quick links aren't reusable, but you can always buy replacement quick links if you want to do this.
