A: They are a very heavy glass mug. I personally would not use any glass mug for hot tea.

A: These are 1/2 liter mugs. That converts to slightly more than a pint. Really nice quality, but it sounds like you are looking for 1/2 PINT and not 1/2 LITER, so they are larger than you would expect.

Well the package arrived about a week late and looked like it fell in the ocean on the way to the states but luckily the glasses were not damaged. Product is sturdy and beautiful, great glass for enjoying a great Pilsner beer.
