I began using this this moisturizer during a week my skin was absolutely unhappy with me due to over-exfoliation and piling actives. I expected this product to leave a visibly shiny film or “glow” I typically associated and experienced with moisturizers, but I was (to my pleasant surprise) given the complete opposite. While it is noticeably more occlusive upon application with a visible “glow”, by the time I put away my skincare and looked back up, it has already sunk down into a velvety, skin-like finish leaving me to question if I even put anything on at all—I use a benzoyl peroxide cleanser, so it’s very easy for me to tell when my skin is parched. The formulation is rich, luscious yet *extremely* lightweight and comfortable; it doesn’t make me produce any excess sebum throughout the day or night. Going back to One Thing Centella Soothing Cream; I’m just a sucker for squalane but something in this is bugging my skin. Boo! I had zero hopes this would work on my ultra sensitive, highly reactive skin. I usually stick with products until they stop making them, and the search for replacements is so unbearable. Took a chance on this as I already use their face cleanser (another miracle my skin agrees with), and to my delight, I have not experienced any sign of irritation or adverse reactions. It is so soothing and moisturizing, even after micro needling. I will continue to use this until it is no longer made, which I hope never happens or at least no sooner than a decade from now. If your skin hates everything and makes you feel abnormal, please try this.
