"The rumors about smugglers are all over Nottingham's alleys. In the last year, the Sheriff has confiscated a lot of illegal goods, but surely he needs help! A Black Market has formed in the alleys, full of special demands from those inside. This has caused a rise in the number of smugglers, including many experienced thieves. Two Deputies were hired by the Sheriff in response. Prepare your illegal goods, follow the new laws, and fulfill the people's demands! Merry Men join your group in order to profit even more! .

Review: Good expansion with nice production value - This expansion really ups the game play of the base game. Everything is well made, almost too well made-- the finish on these cards and boards is actually nicer than my first-edition base game (which is from before CMON got on board, I think), but it doesn't really matter since I sleeve my cards. The design on the new player board is a little different than in the base game as well, but that doesn't bother me. If you have the second edition (blue box) version of the game you don't need this since it's included in that box (and this one won't mesh visually anyway). Well worth getting if you have the first edition (orange box)!

My favorite feature is the addition of an optional 6th player. Another thing that I like is that there are multiple expansion elements that can all be played together, one at a time or not at all and simply add the 6th player. Sheriff of Nottingham is a fantastic bluffing game but if your play group likes to mix things up and add additional elements to challenge themselves, this expansion will suit you well.

This expansion really ups the game play of the base game. My family gets together regularly for game night and this has become one of our favorite games to pull out! The only complaint is the bags with the snaps, they feel like they are gonna break, I plan on trying to get some Velcro and hot glue them for a back up, other than the bags the game is just a blast, my 13 yr old son asks to play this game first on game nights, it has just enough bluffing to make us all really get into the game.
