The Tim Mee Toy Patton PlatoonTank Division is ready for back yard deployment. These #729 M48 Patton Tanks are proudly manufactured in the United States and available in this 3 piece set. Each tank features a turret that rotates, measures 6.5 inches long and is approximately 1:48 scale. Made from slightly stiff OD green color HDPE plastic with lots of crisp detail and very little flashing.Modeled after the M48A2 Patton tank, Tim Mee Toy first produced this toy in 1964 and modified the tooling several times over the decades until the final version seen here. Pack includes optional sticker sheet with the classic stars and serial numbers and bonus mini-stars and Tim Mee logo.This is likely the most popular and widely copied toy tank of all time. A: No, there are no rolling treads or wheels.

**Q: Are these tanks a good choice for tabletop miniatures wargaming?**
A: I run these with 1:32 scale plastic army men sets using the  Bolt Action Second Edition rules to play tabletop skirmish games with the kids. Need a larger table to accommodate the playing field and some adjustments to the measurement scale, but it completely doable. of you are planning on trying out the Bolt Action rules (available on Amazon Kindle) the Big Bucket of Army Men Soldiers of WWII is a fantastic deal at around 200 high quality paintable plastic toy soldiers from the four major armies (US, German, British, and Japanese) with all of the major units represented in the Bolt Action rules. One bucket should offer you in each army available an Officer and attendant, four Sergeant's with SMG's and three 5-7 men squads with rifles, 2 two man sniper teams, 3 three man MGM teams, 2 flamethrower teams, and a RPG/anti tank units.
