I'm not a professional, and my tolls get only occasional use, but I like to maintain them functionally and aesthetically. This Protective Boot was featured in a "review" video, and a bit difficult to find on the Milwaukee.com site. I treated it with Tire Dressing (inside and out), let it "soak in" overnight, then stretched it over for a perfect fit. This will enable a better grip when in-use, and protect the plastic body from scratches. The feel of the rubber changes with Tire Dressing, and tends to shed dirt and resist abrasion better than if not treated. Hope this helps.
