A: This is rated 9 for use with (1) medium (E26) base, 60 watt maximum light bulb and an A19 type of light bulb is recommended.

**Q: Can I just buy the cover**
A: I wouldn’t think Amazon would sell just the cover. They are not in the part replacement business. The light fixture is not that expensive.

**Q: What color is the base of the light under the shade? I’m wanting to use the base only and make my own shade. Is the base black where the bulbs go?**
A: The mounting base exterior finish is a black finish. This inside interior base with the light sockets is silver and has insulation.
