I started to screw in the inlet fitting, and it cracked the housing of the fuel pump where the threads were for the fitting. Obviously that isn't going to work. So back in the box it went, before it even saw gas, and it was sent back to amazon. THE FITTING THEY GIVE YOU cracks the housing in some cases... Sounds crazy when you say it out loud. This was also the same model, appears and build wise, of the one I was replacing, which I put on years ago. So it's not like this was my first rodeo with a fuel pump, even this one in particular.Here is the saddest part of the story. This product states that it is made in the good ol' USA. I went to a local auto store, picked up a pump while this one was on it's way back. Same exact look, feel, material, just under a different brand name. Also boasted a nice little "Made in China" sticker. First thought wasn't great after seeing the china sticker, however, that pump went on fine, no issues and has been on for a month now. Sad to see the American made one busted before the Chinese one.
