So far so good. Battery life under hard use is fantastic and standby time is really amazing. I have not collected specific time to depletion data. No issues, no magic smoke let out. The ID-52A appears to accept this battery and via the menu, when you install it, the UI on the radio will ask which model battery you have onboard. It's more than a bit overpriced, but OK. Fine. However, why on earth would the batteries be so silly expensive? This alternative is fantastic. It works great. It charges fine (on the 3rd party charger I use) and runs the radio really well. Battery life seems good (although, I'm going to do more extensive testing while I take the thing on the road for a few days).
