Review: This was very useful for a specific job. - I bought this drill bit to drill a hole in the front door to install a peep hole viewer. After reading reviews about the center drill bit failures, I removed the spring and then used a regular drill bit to drill the pilot hole through the door. I then used the bit assembly to drill the larger holes, drilling from the outside on each side of the door. It worked perfectly. The cuts were smooth and clean.
Review: Great for my steel door - I was skeptical of this bit at first since the teeth look so aggressive. I had to drill a foam filled steel door. I was concerned that it would catch on the sheet metal and tear it. However, this bit worked perfectly. I drilled a smaller pilot hole first because I wanted to penetrate the door from both sides. I used the bit on high speed with gentle pressure and the result was flawless.
