It's easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.The size of this bowl is perfect. You can fit a good sized meal in it, and the lip helps stop food from spilling out. It’s good for the most part and for it’s function, but I do have to comment that when you pick it up to move it, since the mat around the bowl isn’t sturdy, it’s flexible and loose, so you may spill if not careful. Hold the actual bowl to avoid spill. Other than that, it stays in place.
