It was very easy to set up, the instructions were clear and well-written, and the device works very well. I especially like that you can control exactly how much food is dispensed, as it adds a lot of flexibility to the way you feed your fish. You could have a daily dump of a large quantity of food, or you could have several small meals throughout the day. You should note that the minimum setting for the feeder is once per day. I would have preferred to set it up once every few days, but controlling the amount of food dispensed makes this a non-issue. Overall, I find this auto-feeder to be simple, effective, and inexpensive. It was super easy to install and use. Has a large door so it's not easy for the food to jam or crust over inside of it, unlike our old one. Does exactly as described. We tested it out for a few days before taking off for the weekend to make sure it worked properly and that our fish would be fed. We feed them a few times a day and was able to program this to continue on with the feeding cycle. I liked that this had the option to feed up to four times a day and do a double feeding, for if you had lots of fish, where our old one had twice a day, 12 hours apart and that is it. We are very pleased with this purchase.
