Not every much! Is that correct or does it release more or less?** A: For us, 1 pump is plenty of soap. The plate screws to the wall and the dispenser slides on and off the plate. The cover comes off to refill without taking it off the wall. However we have found in a busy church that sometimes it tilts to the side like it gets loose from the plate. It needs a lock on the plate or something. **Q: Can this be pumped with one hand? I have a daughter with CP and she can not use a traditional soap pump because of the lack of strength in one hand.** A: If she can do it without pushing up on the whole dispenser then I think it would work. It is removable, so if you press upward it will come off of its mount and soap will spill everywhere (bc the lid just lays on top). I loved this deispenser! But since we moved I went with an automatic dispenser in the new house.
