Sound quality is good,clean and there's detail. It feels a bit like it lacks a bit in bass which is why I have it connected to my amp to adjust bass levels and also be able to turn volume up/down using an amp remote control. Only reason for giving it 4 stars is I heard something rattling around inside..had to open up unit to find a piece of solder or metal fragment inside.
