It gets a little bit hot on the sides at peak times but nothing very worrisome. The fan does come on and unfortunately isn't silent, but I have few complaints with how loud it actually is. I'm not one of those people who has to have it dead quiet so I can't tell you definitely, but I'd say for most people it's very quiet unless you push it really hard. It does have two 6+2 PCIE connectors and I'm able to power the 3070 without any wack adapters. The cables I think are a bit long and have a few too many connectors for what the most likely use case is, tiny PCs. There are for my use cases too many sata connectors, and there is no need for any more than zero floppy or molex connectors, of which this has several. I'm sure someone could use them but for the majority of small PC building people who buy this, that just gets in the way. In the end I'm a fan, and I'm not worried about the cable problems because I can just cut and wrap the cables if I feel like it. The fan is super quiet like inaudible. No needing to replace this one’s fan.
