(Trim around car windows) Is this safe to use by the rubber?** A: If you were very careful not to get too much on the rubber, it would be worth a try. But don't just saturated it, because it will probably soften the rubber and turn it to goo, so don't just spray it on. Try putting a little on a rag, then applying just to your chrome trim. Also be sure that the trim is real metal, not the chrome plated plastic. **Q: If this is effective in penetrating the vinyl and disolving the glue, has anybody tried using power water hose to blast the loosened material away?** A: Yes, we have tried but power washing creates it's own pollution issues. For instance a billion little pieces running to the ground with many winding up scattered over land and into rivers, creeks, lakes, etc., and in a few proven cases into water supplies. Absolute best way is to recycle where your waste gets mixed in with waste of other products in their category and comes back as something. Maybe vinyl. **Q: is this product safe for fiberglass boats?** A: Yes, Vinyl-Off can be used safely on fiberglass boats. You had to spray it on and quickly remove it. If you did not remove it very quickly, it would seem to harden making it even more difficult to remove.
