You can then pop in a new piece, fold down the point and you're done. The stiff points a easily removed with needle-one pliers after lifting an edge of the point to grab it. **Q: How deep can it drivr the ping into walnut and oak** A: It drives it in as far as it needs to. I use it on oak frames all the time. **Q: I am having trouble with my artwork shifting around the frame. The points aren’t holding it close enough. Am I doing something wrong.?** A: I use corners to hold the art to the backer, and hinge tape to hold the mat in place, so the art-mat-back sandwich doesn't shift on itself. Clean the glass two times and check it. The sandwich should be a close fit inside the frame, close but not a jam fit, just a little drag. The gun sits on the sandwich and presses it gently to the front of the frame for each shot; eight or ten should do it.
