This mouse showed me that it doesn't have to be that way! The mouse is not only ergonomically shaped, but it has a good feel in the hand as it is weighted. The left/right buttons are satisfying to click and (very importantly for me) do not make loud, obnoxious high-pitched clicking noises. The click is barely audible, but if you listen closely, it is "thocky" (if you might be familiar with the term from mechanical keyboard hobbyists). It connects to up to three separate devices at once, which is extremely convenient for me as I have a work laptop and multiple personal devices. There is also NO USB DONGLE which is great for when you have devices with limited ports or only USB-C ports. It uses just ONE battery, and the battery life is great - I have used this mouse daily for almost a year and only had to replace the battery once. If you use rechargeable batteries, it becomes even more convenient. It also comes with software, which I feel neither negatively or positively about. I like that the software is optional and you do not need to use it, but if you do, you can set a custom action for the extra button. Do yourself a favor and buy this mouse.
