Since those cells remain stable for so long, I can drop a dozen into this caddy and put it into long-term storage. Much better than just throwing a handful of batteries into a ziploc bag, and better than storing the cells in the original packaging with some tape over the cardboard to keep them from falling out. This is compact, durable, and it is very easy to tell how many cells are left. It is designed in such a way that the batteries stay in the caddies and are wholly prevented from creating a circuit with each other's contacts. I have Storacell caddies for AA, AAA, C, CR123A, 9v, and 18650 cells and will continue to purchase more as I need them. Whenever I give someone a gift that uses batteries, I will include an extra set in one of the caddies as a sort of added bonus, it adds a lot to the presentation.
