Had to select the midi instrument but that's easy to find. If you don't know how to do it, YouTube does good tutorials **Q: Do I need to order a Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit for this to work with an IPAD?** A: USB camera adapter for just over £12 lets me connect the UNO Synth and I had a go at using it as a controller for Syntronic and it worked a treat. So being able to do that it told me I did not have to buy the expensive IRig 2. I also tried it with a soft synth on the iPad and it worked. **Q: does this work with garageband?** A: Miss L. Spencer, yes it does! The keys are a bit small, but it works just fine. I use it as dedicated controller for Ableton LINK when I work with Traktor Pro 3 or FX panel when I use Djay Pro with Traktor S3 controller. It works pretty well. You can really easy to map it in Ableton, Traktor, Djay Pro and another software that support midi mapping. I think you can achieve absolutely any worflow that you need. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awkward software, annoying setup *by S***X on 4 October 2022* As per usual, Akai are useless at software distribution. You have to download a piece of software and install it and run that piece of software to download the software you actually need to be able to customise the pads, programs and colours. The included music making software is trash they call award winning lol. Oh and whilst I’m at it all current MPCs are just crappy sub-laptop level computers with a horrible touch interface. They still have the best pads, tho, which is why I sold my MPC One and replaced it with this. The LPD8 is solidly built, compact and easy to use once you’ve gotten past the aforementioned software shenanigans.
