Barely sweetened with blue agave and cane sugar, it has cacao, cinnamon, and allspice -- but just a touch of each. And easy to cook. No idea what all the bad reviews are about it being hard to cook. I halved the recipe to 1/4 cup of pinole and 3/4 cup of non-dairy milk. Microwaved for 60 seconds. Mixed, and put back in for another 60 seconds. Thick and done. Nothing too it. It tasted pretty good just like that. But I then added a couple chopped dates, some honey, and 1/2 tbsp of sunflower seed butter. Delightful. Really good alternative to oatmeal or other hot cereals!
