The proper form of this supplement is the L-form which helps brain and muscles, work better, mostly by boosting the energy mechanism efficiency of the cells. It also increased circulation and therefore Oxygen absorption in the muscles and the supplement is found almost all in the muscle tissues of the body. The dose here is sufficient without bordering on too much, there can be side effects, so you should proceed cautiously. Apparently, one out of 50000 have a deficiency in the ability to make your own, so if you experience the characteristics of that (check online) you should get tested. In that case you may need higher doses. This is a moderate dose in liquid form for easy absorption, if you have a lacking of this substance, you would probably get injections. I find there are pill forms, but few oral forms. I think that may be due to risk and you should assess that. Some studies found a link between ingestion and gut bacteria making this into a dangerous substance known as TMAO a substance linked to heart disease, kidney disease and other bad effects.That said if you are a red meat eater you already may have enough L-Carnitine, and shouldn't risk any more formation of TMAO, you already probably have enough of too much. Vegetarians should take itm since their TMAO is typically at a much lower level, and they may feel weakened because of a lack L-Carnitine in the muscles. This is a substance you should look up and take responsibly, unlike vitamin C, it has side effects they are not pleasant. However if you need it it does have some benefits. I go on a juicing diet from time to time and don't get much red meat for a few months, juicing is essentially vegan if that's all you ingest. I tried one of these and liked the strong, slightly sour, orange taste. Right now I'm on a protein diet so my red meat quantity is way up there. Steaks, pot roast, and burgers are a staple of diet. After a few months on the Stillmans type high protein diet, I switch off to the vegetable (or fruit) juice. I'll give this the full treatment after the first week, and see what it does. I suppose the theory behind the weight loss part it that improving your energy production in the cell, you need more fuel, so you burn stored fat.Right now I can recommend it for taste, and say that it looks to be the correct dose for a supplement, it includes vitamin C and E as well for cellular repair and maintenance. Not cheap, not overly expensive if you are needing to supplement your use. Recommendation is for Vegetarians only right now, you might want to consult a doctor on this one. While I don't detect any harmful ingredients, you may want to temper it's use based on your lifestyle. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Viable L-Carnitine supplement *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2018* This seems no better or worse than other L-Carnitine supplements. The differences here are that you get the added benefits of vitamin C and vitamin E, along with a proprietary blend of herbs called ALP PHYTO. The L-Carnitine used is also supposed to be sourced from a purer form than other brands. The convenience of single doses in an immediately absorbed liquid form also cannot be overlooked. There is also kind of a hip, cachet to taking it in individual bottles, at least if anyone else is around, as opposed to table form or by the spoonful from a large multi-serving bottle. The offered sample is really too small, 14 bottles - each one serving, to notice any long-term benefits and no short-term benefits were observed. It is certainly worth a try but you would need a two-month supply to really see if it works for you with respect to better overall energy, losing fat, land building muscle (if this last effect, which would come from decreasing soreness after strenuous workouts so you can, theoretically, lift more, is one or your goals). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Flavor and Vitamin Appeal, but Questionable as to Its Fat-Burning and Energy Claims *by K***K on Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2018* This supplement tasted better than I expected. It has a very orange fruity flavor to it. As for being a body shaper and fat burner, I can't really say at this point. I'm skeptical about such claims with any product and that is not the reason I wanted to try it. Its energy claims are iffy too. Not really noticing anything there yet either. But I was more interested in this product for its vitamins and antioxidants. And I do have to say that I added it to my drinks when a cold was going around and I did not catch that cold. For that reason, I think this would be a nice product to have on hand and to use regularly during the fall and winter months.Maybe over time, the proclaimed benefits will become more noticeable, maybe not.
