A: When taken apart and folded up the base unit is 24 inches long and the tube with the clutch attached to it is about 20 inches long.

A: I have never had to adjust it. One issue:This is a short high hat stand. We now use it only with a practice stand and bought a full height stand for gigs.

**Q: Is this Yammy hi hat an HS 850 model??**
A: No. I believe it is the HS-740A hi-hat stand.
