It is quite similar to a rich fruit Christmas cake with lots of fruit but it is softer, more moist and should be heated before serving and then usually eaten with custard, cream or ice cream. For individual slices, I remove the fruitcake from the plastic case and make slices. I heat them in the microwave for 30 seconds or so and then serve with hardsauce. I make the hard sauce from butter and powdered sugar (pretty much like stiff frosting) and put a glop on the fruitcake. (You cansl buy hardsauce inlittle jars) This is pretty rich so the slices should be small. The fruitcake may well have instructions included. **Q: Is this plum pudding?** A: This isn’t plum pudding. That’s made as a steamed kind of bread pudding. **Q: How many people will this serve?** A: I have not bought this brand before but usually Plum Pudding is very rich so a little goes a long way.
