Review: This vacuum is great! Not perfect but great! - I can honestly say this is the best upright vacuum cleaner I've ever purchased and I've gone through a TON of vacuums both in my personal and professional life! It's compact despite sporting a 1 litre capacity collection drum. It's easy to assemble straight out of the box. It stores well, which is essential in a small, one person flat like mine. It's surprisingly powerful, made easy work of six months of accumulated dog hairs along with other filth and detritus. Most importantly for myself is that it's quite lightweight and easy to manoeuvre and although it boasts powerful suction, one doesn't feel as though one is fighting to control the unit, unlike some other models. Using it didn't set off a flare up with my arthritis and - perhaps the best feature - the nice, long wand attachment/ handle meant I didn't have to bend almost double just to use the thing. As a man standing not far off seven feet tall that's a rarity in most floor cleaning products, I can tell you! My only gripes are that I think it's going to require frequent emptying, despite the aforementioned collection drum, and the automatic hair removal on the brushes doesn't seem to work quite as well as advertised. All in all a great vacuum cleaner. One of the best in my experience and opinion but by no means perfect. Well worth the price.
Review: Best adult purchase ever - I've got a cat, a indoor cat that sheds year round. I've had many hovers that claim the world, pick up all dirt, pet hair, solve complex equations and solve my love problems. But they always fail and always only do a sub par job. Decided to be adult and invest in a good hover, a hover that many claim and show can actually do the job it lists. Going through just 3 rooms of my flat, I filled the entire waste container. Something other hovers would take 2/3 full cleans before being full. My carpet that I thought had turned from white to off white due to age, had its white come back again. The shark removed all the eyars of stuck down, walked over pet hairs that I thought was a colour change, and did it effortlessly. Can't belive the performance from such a small and light unit. Has to be some 8th level magic enchantment causing it to be so strong in cleaning yet so light and manoeuvrable. I'm impressed and beyond happy, it's a hover and I'm exited about it. I'm happy to clean again because I actually feel like I am cleaning. This is going to help any allergies, loose pet hairs in the air, dust, cat litter, Ash, dropped food, discarded hopes and dreams. It'll clean up the lot. I send the message out to all that are thinking about getting a shark. Take the plunge and get one, ita the first of all my hovers that has actually done a complete job as advertised. If you are curious, find a friend that has one and borrow for a week and test, I am confident you'd buy one after a test. Best hover ever, I can see it in my dreams cleaning up my life now.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do I convert hoover to clean under furniture? The wand comes off at the same time as the pod, wand won’t fit in the hole for floor tool?**
A: Unfortunately it would appear that Amazon's product description is wrong. This model doesn't actually have the 'powered lift-away' feature at all, despite saying that it does in the title and description. It just has the normal 'lift-away' feature, so it won't power the brush head in lift-away mode.

**Q: Nz690ukt replacement filters can you buy them from amazon? I know you can wash them but would like a spare whilst they are drying**
A: yes

**Q: Is this 110 or 230 volts?**
A: 230v

**Q: Does this come with the pet tool? It states in the name/description it does but then I’m seeing a lot of comments saying you have to buy it separately**
A: No mine doesn't as mine is the anti hair wrap one, it depends on model you get, still a good vacuum though

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Superb. Lots of power, lightweight, easy to use - whats not to like.
*by L***N on 11 December 2023*

This review is written after 5 months of busy domestic use. Before buying the Shark, our goto brand had always been Dyson. But our vacuum cleaner had died and this was on special and so we took a chance. OMG!!! Although this is a corded vacuum it comes with a very generous length of lead meaning you dont have to keep on moving the plug for socket to socket. Being lightweight it's easy and therfore safe to carry up and down the stairs. The motorised brush unit is "anti hair wrap" and despite its simplicity it is surpriseingly effective. This particular model comes with Lift-Away which makes it ideal for doing the stairs, cupboards, vehicle interiors etc. The unit is very powerful and you do HAVE to use the min/max selector when on carpet. If you leave in on max do not be surprised if you find yourself having a hard time pushng it. This model came with the car detail accessory kit which is perfect for getting into all those nooks and crannies that you find in cars, especially down the side of the seats. The dust cup is simple to empty and filter kit is easy to clean. After 5 months of busy domestic use, the ONLY negative I can think of is that the hose does not stretch as much as we would like. And because of the units lightweight, it often results in the vacuum being pulled over by the slightest pull on the hose. In conclusion, we are very happy with our Shark vacuum and will be sticking with the brand for the future.
