Reviews on similar bags are hit or miss. I think some are fake, possibly for this bag too. It was the least expensive amongst similar bags, looked great and at only $26 we decided to roll the dice.The bag came packaged in tight plastic wrapping. It has a noticeable smell that I cant quite place. It's a mix of leather, chemical and shoe polish. It goes away fast but don't expect a clean, appealing leather fragrance. The buckles are protected with grease so you may want to wipe them down if you plan to use the straps. Also, the buckles and straps are pretty tight but will become more pliable with use.The coloring is good and the leather seems strong. Overall it's a really great bag for an incredible price which is why the smell and grease aren't an issue. It's a budget leather bag but it really does look great and feels sturdy.
