This is my favourite Roald Dahl book, they are all amazing, but this I keep going back to more than the others. It's such an amazing story even though it's one of the shorter of his more well-known ones.I've just finished reading this to my 5 year old son, I tried to read it to him before but only had a small, black and white illustrated, version which I've had for about 30 years. He was much more attentive and engaged with the story this time around and I think this has a lot to do with the book being larger in size (closer to A4) and full colour illustrations.The chapters are quite short, which is good when reading you your child before their bedtime. There is no 'filler' , just amazing story on every page.You've probably read this book before so know what is about, but if you don't have this larger, full-colour version, I strongly recommend you get it. It's 100% worth it. 😁
