Some reviews mentioned that the train wouldn't pull up hills but it worked well going up and over the bridges on our track. The remote works with no problems. Forward, reverse, the horn, and lights all work well. We bought the train for our grandson on his 5th birthday and he loves playing with the train. His younger sister is 2 1/2 years old and with a little supervision she is able to use the remote as well. The train engine and passenger car are well made but the remote is plastic and I feel is a little cheaply made. I'm hoping it holds up. Review: Endless Toy Train Fun - This is the neatest new addition to my grandsons' wooden train track set. Has a remote control that hooks up wirelessly with the engine and has train sounds with it, too. The engine even produces a smoke effect coming from its smoke stack that is just a visible water vapor produced from a refillable water reservoir in the engine itself. The car with the water supply squeeze tank is carried by one of the train cars and the "steam" effect of the engine and the train sounds and engine direction can all be controlled with the remote. And the engine has an LED headlight that operates, too! ## Features - Complete Remote Control Set – This battery operated train set includes a remote control, a powerful locomotive engine, a passenger carriage, and a posable action figure. Requires 4Γ—AA batteries (not included – two for the train, two for the remote). With the remote, your child can easily control forward, stop, and reverse. The train features working front and rear lights, plus realistic sound effects that activate when moving and stopping. Watch your little engineer's face light up as they command their very own bullet train! - Opening Carriage Door + Posable Action Figure – This is what makes our train special! The passenger carriage features a door that really opens, allowing your child to place the included action figure inside. The figure's arms and legs are posable, so kids can bend and adjust them into different poses. Whether the action figure is sitting, waving, or getting ready for an adventure, this interactive feature brings storytelling to life. No other train in this price range offers this level of realistic play. Watch your child create endless adventures as the action figure rides the rails! - Powerful Engine Pulls More Cars – Powered by at least 1.5V batteries (not included for both the train and remote), this bullet city train stands out from others with its superior power and speed. The strong magnetic connectors allow you to attach additional magnetic trains and cars (sold separately), creating longer trains for more exciting adventures. Unlike weaker engines that struggle with extra weight, this locomotive maintains its speed and climbing ability even when pulling multiple cars. Perfect for expanding your child's wooden railway collection! - Compatible with All Major Wooden Track Brands – This remote control train works seamlessly with Thomas & Friends, Brio, Chuggington, KidKraft, Melissa & Doug, and most standard wooden railway systems. A perfect addition to any existing train set! Beyond the fun, this toy helps develop essential skills – as your child controls the train, creates stories, and builds track layouts, they're improving fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial logical thinking, and creativity. It's play that matters. - Safe & Kid-Friendly – The Perfect Gift – Made from child-friendly, non-toxic materials with smooth edges. Fully complies with CPSIA and ASTM F963 safety requirements. Completely safe for toddlers aged 3 and up to play with. Looking for a birthday or Christmas gift that will wow any little train lover? This remote control train set is beautifully designed and packed with interactive features that keep kids engaged for hours. A unique gift that combines the magic of trains with the fun of action figures! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BF15716F | | Age Range Description | Toddler | | Base Material | Plastic | | Battery Description | Alkaline, battery_type_aa, not suitable for rechargeable battery | | Best Sellers Rank | #29,278 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #55 in Toy Train Sets | | Brand Name | Z MAYABBO | | CPSIA Cautionary Statement | Choking Hazard - Small Parts | | Collection Name | Toy Vehicle Set | | Color | Red | | Compatibility Options | compatible with Thomas & Friends, Brio, Chuggington, Melissa & Doug, Kidkraft, IKEA and so on. | | Control Method | Remote | | Control Type | Remote Control | | Controller Type | Remote Control | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 257 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Creative Thinking, Hand-Eye Coordination, Imagination Development, Logical Thinking, Motor Skill, Problem Solving Skill, Social Skill, Spatial Awareness | | Fit Type | Bullet City Train | | Frame Material Type | Plastic | | Included Components | Remote Control Train | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Dimensions | 4.3 x 1.4 x 1.8 inches | | Item Shape | Train Set or Track Set | | Manufacturer | May & Z | | Manufacturer Part Number | CJ7450 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 36 months - 12 years | | Material Type | Plastic | | Minimum Age Recomendation | 36 | | Model Name | Train | | Number of Batteries | 4 AA batteries required. | | Number of Items | 3 | | Number of Pieces | 3 | | Number of Players | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday, Children's Day, Christmas, New Year | | Operation Mode | Automatic | | Other Special Features of the Product | Realistic Sound | | Outer Material | Plastic | | Pattern | City Express | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product Style | Bullet Train | | Remote Control Technology | Radio Frequency or Infrared | | Scale | G scale | | Set Name | Electric Train | | Size | Small | | Skill Level | Beginner | | Theme | Train and Vehicle | | UPC | 770456722428 | ## Images ![Remote Control Train for Wooden Track – Battery Operated Locomotive with Opening Door, Action Figure, Lights & Sounds, Powerful Engine Compatible with Thomas & Brio, Gift for Toddlers 3+ - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mmyU73jiL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Train fits the Thomas the train wooden tracks and the kids love playing with it. *by R***. on September 22, 2026* Train works great on the Thomas the Train wooden train tracks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No.1 in Testing. Most Powerful of all the battery engines we have tried. *by C***S on September 28, 2023* My child and I have recently started and expanded β€œour” wooden train collection including battery engines to pull all the cars. Naturally, this involved practically purchasing most battery engines on the market to compare them against each other. This bullet engine was put to the test against its steam engine design counterpart offered by the same company that is controllable with a remote as well (has fwd/reverse lights/sounds), Brios Mighty Red and h2o Steam Engine, and then the single button basic locomotive offered by the same company as this bullet engine. Hands down this bullet engine is the best. It operates on two AA batteries and this provides superior power and speed compared to all of those tested, most of which run off of one AA or more commonly available one to two AAA batteries. It was able to easily post the best time when put to speed lap tests and was able to pull the most cars out of those tested both on flat tracks and going up a single or double incline. Now, add in the fact that you get (and this is important) a line of sight remote to control your trains and this set goes over the top. You can control up to two trains (A&B Signal) from one remote with Fwd/Reverse, Train Horn, & Light control offered from the remote. My suggestion would to be to also pick up the compatible Locomotive black Steam engine that is offered by this same company and pair these two engines off the same remote. Note, this black steam engine came in second in our testing, it runs off one AA battery so is pretty powerful and fast, just not as much as this two AA battery Bullet engine model. Well my rambling has come to an end hope this was helpful and to summarize if you’re looking for one battery engine to buy for your wooden train set, look no further. You’ve found the one. ## Frequently Bought Together - Train Track Accessories Remote Control Train, Battery Operated Locomotive Train Toy for Toddlers Train Set, Powerful Engine Train Vehicle Fits All Major Brands Railway System (Battery Not Included) - Wooden Train Set Accessories Battery Operated Locomotive Train, Remote Control Train Vehicles for Wood Tracks, Powerful Engine Train Cars Fits All Major Brands of Railway System (Battery Not Included) - Wooden Train Track 52 Piece Set-18 Feet Of Track Expansion - 5 Distinct Pieces - 100% Compatible with All Major Brands Including Thomas Wooden Railway System: Screen Free Christmas Gift For Toddlers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/475715588-remote-control-train-for-wooden-track-battery-operated-locomotive-opening](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/475715588-remote-control-train-for-wooden-track-battery-operated-locomotive-opening) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
