Review: Another Great Shark Vacuum - This is my third Shark vacuum and there is a reason I keep buying them! They just work, period. My daughter is moving into her own apartment for the first time and wanted the same Shark we already had. It doesn't seem to still be available so I let her take it with her and got a new one for myself. I do also own a lift away but find it a little too heavy to carry around. The super long hose on this item achieves the same thing and is way easier to use. Assembly was very easy and no tools were needed. All of the components just click into place and probably took two minutes to assemble. I have learned over time that the two included attachments are the only ones I really use and both can be stored right onboard the vacuum. I love that both the foam and felt filters can be rinsed in water and do not need to be repurchased. That being said, I usually buy another set anyway so that I can rinse one set and still be able to use the vacuum while they completely dry out. As for the performance, it works really well. The ability to easily adjust the level of suction right from the handle means that I can go from a throw rug, to an area rug, to a wood floor quickly and easily. The swivel operates flawlessly and makes maneuvering a breeze. And the extension of the hose is great. To reach the ceiling, I don't have to do any heavy lifting or stretching. The dust bin is quite large and is also easy to release and empty. This particular item might not have a tons of bells and whistles, but it just works. For 95% of my tasks, it's all I need. And it is a great value! Every single one of my Shark vacuums are still working great, and I'm sure this item is no exception. For the price, it has everything I need and really exceeded my expectations once I used it. I don't see any reason to spend three or fours times the cost of this item on any other vacuum, when this item does the job. Highly recommended! Review: Great Design - very happy with this model - Very happy with this vacuum. Great suction, & lightweight is a plus. I initially bought a lift away model which I returned very quickly because it was cumbersome; you had to detach the tank from the motor to use attachment & then carry the tank to use it that way & then having to reattach the tank to the motor & the tubes, etc. This model eliminates those steps because it’s all inclusive & is a perfect design. Definitely an improvement from the older models. ## Features - SWIVEL STEERING: Easily maneuver your vacuum in and out of tight spaces, in corners, around furniture, and more. - POWERFUL SUCTION: Deep-clean carpets and tackle bare floors with powerful Shark suction. - ANTI-ALLERGEN COMPLETE SEAL: Works with a HEPA filter to trap 99.9%* of dust and allergens inside the vacuum cleaner. While the photo and description does not provide you a good idea of attachments, or suction options it comes with 2 attachments which work really well for removing dog hair from couches, and there are 2 buttons on the top of the vacuum. One is a power/on/off button and the second is button which controls whether or not the brush is rotating. (that role or round bar every vacuum has which spins around really fast to stimulate carpet fibers and pick up dirt) I have 3 pugs and this vacuum is awesome on hardwood.. This is the only vacuum I have owned which was truly designed to work on carpet and hard surfaces as you can switch the rotating brush off to vacuum hard surfaces. Vacuums I have had in the past have just blown pet hair around on hard surfaces because there was no option to turn off the rotating brush which would just stimulate the hair to move away from the vacuum rather than towards it. I hope this helps! Best vacuum purchase I have ever made and I will be buying Shark brand from here forward. **Q: Does this have light and retractable cord?** A: It's a Basic Shark, no Light and no Retractable Cord. **Q: How easy is it to empty the canister? I have to reach my hands inside of my Bissel to pull out the dog hair.** A: The canister is easy to clean. The canister is not huge, so if you did have to pull dog hair out. I don't see a problem. Your hand would not get stuck. We have dogs. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another Great Shark Vacuum *by D***E on December 24, 2025* This is my third Shark vacuum and there is a reason I keep buying them! They just work, period. I didn't know what model to buy. The Lift Away was clunky, awkward and hard to push. The design was poor in my opinion. It was returned. I spoke with my friend who clarified the recommended vacuum was actually the Shark Navigator. I bought it and absolutely love it! It picked up an amazing amount of dirt and cat hair.
