The only thing better than listening to it is watching Chris Corner perform it live. He will blow you away, everything he does is perfection. His voice is probably one of the top five male voices of all time, regardless of genre. ...I say that but currently cannot think of anyone who is more gifted vocally. The only scenario in which I can imagine someone not liking IAMX is if they absolutely hated modern music. How could you pick a favourite song? Every one is a work of art, deserving more praise than the world would ever bestow. I don't care how many times I have heard "President", I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO PRESS SKIP WHEN IT COMES ON. And yes, I am the type of person that tires of even my most loved songs/artists. I am aware that I sound like a fanatic but it's just simple honesty. You know the type of fan that is considered way too overboard and obsessed? He is one of the few artists that actually deserves that kind of devotion. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New Wave greatness! *by G***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2008* Do yourself a favor and don't even think Sneaker Pimps when listening to IAMX. THis is definitely Chris Corner's most enjoyable project ever. Kiss and Swallow was a great record, but The Alternative takes the cake as being his most melodic and enjoyable. Night Life, Spit It Out, Bring Me Back A Dog, President, all great tracks. I grew up listening to old Depeche Mode and early Duran Duran, as well as Devo and other synth heavy bands so I really enjoy the heavy New Wave analog synth element to IAMX's sound. I'm really into bands like Covenant and VNV Nation as well so the dancey side of IAMX is great as well. I suggest you buy this album if you like any of those other bands mentioned.
