My husband leaves very early in the morning so I pack his lunch at night. I have read about priming with boiling water but I decided to experiment for our first use without priming first. I packed chili into it around 7:30pm and my husband ate it at 10:30am and reported it was still very hot. The next night I packed chili into it around 8pm and he ate it at 11am and it was still very hot. This is exactly what we needed. Definitely recommend!
