You mainly just get credit for your steps when you use the clip. I only use it when I'm already wearing a watch and don't want to have two different things on my wrists, but want to keep tracking my steps in one place. **Q: Will this work for sleep tracking?** A: Update on this: I clip the tracker close to my heart and it will track as if it’s on my wrist. Works during workouts, normal day use and sleeping.
