For me, the material is a bit thin, but when you consider the price, it's about right. The material is comfortable and not at all scratchy - I've always liked poplin weave. It looks dressy and certainly can be worn casually. I got the white, and the color is bright and kinda pops. It seems to be fairly wrinkle-free if I get it out of the dryer in time and don't over dry. I think the light-weight material accounts for that.The fit is great. I have a 43" chest and usually wear a 16 or 16.5" neck and 34/35 sleeves. I think the 16" neck would have been too tight while the 16.5" I bought is as close as I can get - still can button the top button easily and doesn't look sloppy worn with the top unbuttoned.
