I had a string of white Christmas lights that were slowly burning out bulb by bulb, and needed a pretty replacement. I was actually looking for plug-in lights, because I get tired of going through batteries, and bought these by mistake. However, they are very pretty and I don't regret the purchase. I am going to keep looking for a plug-in strand for daily use, and put these somewhere to use occasionally so as to not use up the battery so fast.The light these give off is white, but the surrounding ball makes it a more yellow glow. I mention that because I don't like bright white lights and prefer a more yellow light.
