(3) Stretching/shirring is possible, depending on the "feeding method", to prevent puckering or to promote gathering. 2. Type of feed (1) Bottom feed The bottom feed is the standard feeding method which feeds the sewing material only by means of the bottom feed dog (the feed dog located under the throat plate).

Review: Really really works! I love it! - This works! I installed it and liked putting together quilt pieces using the guides. It makes piecing a breeze. I made a mistake in the installation though and i was hearing noise that was not there before. I undid and installed again. My mistake was tightening the dog feed before the throat plate. In fact i noticed the screw holes on the throat plate was off. So I tightened the throat plate screws first then the dog feed. Voila! My juki is as quiet as before. Update: dont over tighten the throat plate screws!

This works! I installed it and liked putting together quilt pieces using the guides. It makes piecing a breeze.
