- FOOD GRADE : HDPE is commonly used in food packaging for juice and milk jugs, squeeze butter and vinegar bottles and chocolate syrup containers, as well as grocery bags. FDA Approved for food contact
- LIGHTWEIGHT : This thermoplastic is made from a string of ethylene molecules (hence, the poly part of polyethylene), and is known for being both lightweight and strong.
- TENSILE STRENGTH : HDPE shows higher stiffness and ultimate tensile strength at low temperatures due to lower chain mobility than at elevated temperatures. At elevated temperatures, the molecules are more flexible and can deform in the direction in which stress is applied.
- MOISTURE ABSORPTION : High Density Polyethylene are semi-crystalline materials that provide good resistance to organic solvents. They have high impact strength, are light in weight, resist staining, and have low moisture absorption properties.
