I purchased the petite adult size of this pillow and after a few nights the results were significant. My back pain significantly decreased, making days more bearable. I'm a young person and my back pain made me feel immobile at times. My jaw stiffness has reduced a little bit, but it wasn't as significant as others have experience on here. I still have to find other ways to treat my TMD. The most amazing thing this pillow has done for me is remove my shoulder pain, which was extremely stiff, reduce mobility and sharp pains at times. There are designated sections in this pillow for where you should sleep on your side or sleep on your back. When sleeping on your side, you place your head on either the left or right square corner. When sleeping in the middle, you sleep on your back. I can finally sleep on my side without putting a heavy pressure on my shoulder, all because the design of the pillow is to create room for your shoulder when sleeping on your side without the heavy pressure. It's wonderful and as cheesy as it sounds, it has made life better. It's not an easy pillow to adjust to, I've had mine for almost a few weeks now and the problem I have is that I move in my sleep. And because I move in my sleep, I end up sleeping in the wrong position on the wrong part of the pillow. The dip in the middle of the pillow is strictly for sleeping on your back. So it's awkward when I find myself sleeping on my side in the middle or sleeping on my back on the end platform parts of the pillow. Luckily, I wake up and correct this. This doesn't happen so much as it sounds and I believe over time I'll adapt to this for the better. I really recommend this pillow. I actually found out about this pillow from a chiropractor's website who went through all the types of pillows and the pros and cons. The other recommended pillow that I almost tried out, was the Latex Pillow which had more pros than cons. So you may want to check it out and compare the two. In the end what persuaded me to purchase this pillow was the reviews on TMJ and how people felt their symptoms were reduced. Although it didn't benefit me in that area as much, it still didn't one heck of a job for all my other problems. I purchased the smallest adult version of this pillow, but I feel that I may have done a little better with the children's pillow. I can't say that for certain as I can't compare the two, but it does feel the petite adult version is a little too big at times.
