I am training fir hyrox so being able to run is super important. Running pre Dr Arthritis was definitely hard and painful on the knees, it felt like a real hobble and a limp to get round. After reading through the various products available, braces, sleeves etc I thought I'd give this a go since it looked less cumbersome. Today is the first day of wearing for a run and I must say what a difference! Comfortable and supportive and really seeming to disapate all the shock through the knee. Highly recommend. In hindsight, I have also noticed that the plastic rings, will brush against the back of my knee and feels discomforting; to resolve this, I move it down slightly. This brace does help me walk properly and reduces my knee clicks. The strap is 1 1/4" wide. If you are asking to ensure it will fit around your leg, I measured the maximum circumference it can be when closed and it measured 17" around...there is elastic in the strap, so it could probably stretch to 18" circumference. I would almost be limping after my runs due to pain on the sides of my knees and would need to immediately ice when I got home. I have used these three times already and I have been pain-free after the runs.
