I believe this tripod is made with aluminum and metal, it has a little bit of weight and very sturdy. It comes with a shoulder bag so makes it easy to carry around (this is so great for me because I like to keep things in a bag so they don’t get scratches or dusty. The bag doesn’t look like it is water resistant, but it is still a plus to have one so things are organized). The ball head is very easy to operate, you can rotate it to any angle you like. It is big enough to cage a bigger camera like ours. This tripod itself has foam padded on the legs which allow us to crab it easily when we need to carry it from one spot to another. If you live in a cold place or take pictures in the cold weather, this could save you from freezing your hands. With the twist- lock type of telescope leg locks, you can easily setup the height you wanted your camera to be in just a quick second. You can extend it up to 63.8 inch high which is a pretty big range. This is my first ever tripod and I love it a lot. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good until it broke (updated) *by S***6 on Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2018* I bought this tripod in July and have only used it 5 or 6 times and now one of the plastic leg hinges has broken rendering the tripod useless. I’ve tried to find Mactrem contact info on line to find out about a replacement but can’t locate them.I finally found mactrem contact info and sent them an email with photos of the broken tripod. Without hesitation or questions asked they replaced my tripod within a week. I give it a 4 instead of 5 because it did break but the tripod it’s self is a nice tripod that works well for being a low priced option in the tripod market. It’s relatively light weight, easy to use and sturdy. I would suggest very slightly loosening the screws that attach the legs to the body to make the legs move more easily.
