My bit set is standard, so using a conversion calculator i determined that 6mm is about 0.23622... That is slightly larger than a 15/64" bit (0.23437...). By following the provided instructions, when it came time to screw in the first bolt, its threads barely grabbed the wood of the stud--so I decided to use one of the included plastic wall anchors to install a second bolt into the hollow wall behind the top of the bracket and next to the first bolt. For the lower bracket hole into the wood stud, I chose the next smaller drill bit size (7/32)--which did a much better job of gripping the provided bolt. For the second hole into the hollow wall, I again used one of the four provided plastic wall anchors and the final (fourth) provided bolt.
