It is perfect for walking my dog in areas where I want to give him more length to explore, and is very strong. We actually tied another loop in the middle of the leash so that it has 3 loop handles. I can slip my arm through one or two loops and grab lower loop if I want to have extra control. This has come in very handy when we have come across other dogs who are aggressively trying to get to my dog. Jack is generally very mild and playful, but will defend himself and me when being attacked. (This happens when the neighbor's crazy 15 pound male gets loose and runs at us like a Tasmanian devil. 😈) My first concern is that our leash and harness are secure in the event that Jack should go into a seizure while we are out walking.
