Battery life is very good (but would charge it before first use). Unfortunately, 9 months in, it started giving erratic reads. We contacted customer support and they were very responsive, ultimately sending out a new scale. Replacement is working great. I’ve been through a number of scales (caregiver for a brittle diabetic who weighs everything to the gram), and this one is the best of the lot I’ve worked with. Not an analytical scale, but also not $4k. I think the malfunction was probably a one-off dud, but the customer support completely made up for it.
