Review: Excellent alternative to full standing desk furniture - Knowing that I was sitting at my desk at home for far too long each day, I've been curious about standing desks and read up on the health benefits. However, I didn't want to replace my existing desk and so the Executive Office Solutions Portable Adjustable Aluminum Laptop Desk was an ideal solution. It raises to a good height (although I'm only 5ft 8inches tall), is sturdy and yet light enough so it can easily be lifted and moved to the back of my desk, so that I can place my laptop on my own desktop, when I've had enough of standing. I was pleased with the fact that the portable desk top has 2 integrated fans, powered by a USB cable, to cool the laptop, although the cable that came with my stand has a dodgy cable connection and I have asked the seller to investigate a replacement from the manufacturer. Otherwise, very happy with this arrangement.

**Q: I am handicapped & sit in a recliner with the laptop on my lap. Will this keep it off my lap? Thanks**
A: Hi, yes, this will definitely keep it off you your lap.  We have found that when sitting on a couch or recliner, the feet of the stand are sitting on the cushion and it can move easily if its a very fluffy cushion rather than a flat, firm cushion that you would find on a leather couch. However, if you adjust it so that you can push one, or both legs down in the seam between the cushions, it makes the stand much more stable for use.  Thanks for the question!

**Q: I know the lap tray is aluminum but are the legs made of plastic?**
A: Legs are plastic as of 31 December 2019.

**Q: What are the precise increments of the various heights ? Interested in a laptop rise because of a
strained neck and upper back.**
A: Hi, Thanks for the question!  Its a kind of difficult one to answer since there are so many different ways to adjust it.  There is no definite set increment that it goes up each time, because with each adjustment, you will move either one, two or three legs.  Having said that, you can adjust the height from 0" (flat) to the full extension (20") in very close to 2" increments, depending on the tilt of the tray.  Hope that helps!
